Lawrence “Larry” Petrucci joined Raymond James in December 2005 and is currently a managing director and senior structured product analyst. Larry provides research and valuation support to the trading desk and institutional sales force for a variety of product types including RMBS, CDO/CLO, CMBS and ABS.

Prior to joining Raymond James, Larry served as managing director of transitional credit research for Legg Mason and was also a fixed-income strategist, concentrating on CDO investments. In these roles, Larry provided analytical and valuation services covering a broad array of fixed-income and capital markets securities representing the “transitional” credit market, which includes the high-yield, crossover and distressed securities markets as well as structured products such as CDOs and CTLs.

Prior to Legg Mason, Larry worked in the security brokerage industry as a fixed-income analyst with specialties in high-yield distressed and special situation securities at First Albany Corporation and Scotia Capital Markets. Larry’s professional career began in the finance department at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in 1981 and progressed into the organization’s investment subsidiary. During his five-year tenure at this subsidiary, Larry held a variety of investment positions in both equity and fixed-income securities including portfolio manager.

Larry is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in finance and accounting and a minor in economics. Later, Larry returned to IUP and earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance. Larry earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 1991.
